The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has strengthened its efforts to develop futsal in the country after successfully completing a week-long Licence D Coaching Course at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram. The programme brought together coaches from different parts of Ghana for intensive training aimed at improving their technical knowledge and understanding of the indoor version of football.Participants received instruction in futsal fundamentals, coaching methodology, attacking and defensive principles, set pieces and the Laws of the Game. The sessions were facilitated by Moroccan instructor Ghassane El Barhami, alongside other members of the GFA Technical Directorate, who guided participants through theoretical lessons and practical exercises. The course also featured group assignments, demonstrations and assessments designed to equip the coaches with the skills needed to work effectively in the rapidly growing discipline. The association said it intends to use the Licence D programme as a foundation for further coaching education, providing participants with a pathway to pursue higher qualifications. The initiative forms part of the GFA's commitment to strengthening technical capacity and creating opportunities for the growth of futsal in Ghana.
