Congress approves supplementary credit to address El Niño and other urgent needs

The plenary of the Congress of the Republic approved the Executive branch’s legislative proposal to access supplementary credits. These funds are earmarked for financing measures to address the 2026–2027 El Niño phenomenon, as well as for boosting infrastructure, strengthening public security, and supporting health, education, and other essential services and obligations.
