Peruvian regions receive over $ 3.8 billion from the formal mining activity

Economic transfers generated by the formal mining activity to the Peruvian regions where such operations take place totaled 13.31 billion soles ($3.855 billion) between January and September 2026. This figure stems from the distribution of the *Canon Minero* (mining tax share), mining royalties, and fees for mining rights and penalties, the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) reported today.
