President Keiko Fujimori announced today that the government will allocate 2.5 billion soles (around $ 728 million) for direct grants to vulnerable families. This initiative is part of a set of priority counter-cyclical fiscal policy measures aimed at mitigating the impact of external shocks and the El Niño phenomenon.
